Miss World Philippines 2021 Postponed Again

The event on September 19 is not pushing through, and a new date has yet to be announced.

The Miss World Philippines (MWP) 2021 coronation night will not take place on Sunday, September 19, the MWP organization announced on Saturday, September 18.

"The MWP Organization has yet to confirm the final coronation night date and venue, pending government and IATF mandate regarding the current COVID-19 scenario," according to the organization.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the pageant's main event has been postponed several times. It was originally scheduled for July 11, the same day as the Binibining Pilipinas pageant. It was then rescheduled for July 25, August 8, and September 19.

In the 2021 edition of the pageant, forty-four candidates compete for seven crowns. Dindi Pajares was named Miss Supranational Philippines ahead of the coronation night so that she could compete in the international pageant in August. She came in 12th place.

Miss World Philippines, Miss Eco Philippines, Miss Eco Teen Philippines, Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas, Miss Multinational, Miss Philippines Tourism, and Miss Environment International are the remaining titles up for grabs.
