Roksana Węgiel Says No to Eurovision 2022

She also declined participation last year.

TVP announced last week that their 2022 entry will be chosen internally, and that entries are currently available. Submissions must be received by November 20. Junior Eurovision 2018 winner Roksana Wgiel, on the other hand, has announced that she would not be submitting an entry. She also claimed that she had been invited to compete in the Eurovision Song Contest 2021.

Roksana Wgiel, according to Eurowizja, has ruled out competing in the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest, which will be held in Italy. In fact, despite already being qualified for the adult competition, the former Junior Eurovision winner was approached by TVP earlier this year for the 2021 event, but denied the invitation.

When asked what type of entry she would like to make in the future, she said a ballad that would showcase her singing abilities. It would, however, have to be a contemporary composition. This is a good reflection of her self-titled debut album, which won her the MTV European Music Awards for Best Polish Act in 2019.

TVP held a two-stage national competition last year called Szansa na sukces to choose their Eurovision 2020 participation. Alicja Szempliska, the winner of The Voice of Poland 10, went on to win the competition with her song "Empires." Prior to the contest's cancellation, she was scheduled to perform in the first half of the second semi-final.

TVP decided not to re-select Alicja for Eurovision 2021 in 2021. Rafa Brzozowski, on the other hand, was chosen internally to represent Poland in Rotterdam with “The Ride.” With 35 points, he finished 14th in the second semi-final, marking Poland's third consecutive non-qualification.
