Next week, Apple will conduct another special event.' It is the second event in the second half of the year, following the introduction of the iPhone 13 last month. Apple is likely to reveal new items around this time as well since the company has traditionally staged a special event in the fall before the year-end shopping season to showcase new products.
The hour of the event is listed on an invitation letter titled 'Unleashed.' It will be held on the 18th of this month which will be streamed live on Apple's website.
Although the tech giant did not reveal any information in the invitation, new goods such as the next-generation MacBook Pro and AirPods 3 powered by Apple's own processor 'Apple Silicon' are likely to be announced.
The MacBook Pro outfitted with the more powerful Apple silicon 'M1X' is likely to be the star of the October presentation. To expedite the 'de-Intel' plan of Mac products, both 14 and 16-inch versions are equipped with the 'M1X' CPU, a high-performance variant of the 'M1' chip launched in the current lower-end notebook models.
The next-generation M1X processor is a 10-core central processing unit (CPU), and both the 14-inch and 16-inch versions are likely to be equipped with the same configuration. It can accommodate up to 64GB of RAM and has a 16-core or 32-core graphics processing unit as an option (GPU). Some anticipate the use of tiny light-emitting diodes (LEDs) with a refresh rate of 120 hertz (Hz).
The 14-inch model will replace the 13-inch model this year. The 14-inch MacBook Pro features a bigger display than the 13-inch model, but the body size is expected to be almost the same due to reduced peripheral bezels.
The next MacBook Pro is likely to have the most significant design update since 2016. It has been revamped with a flat design similar to the tablet PC 'iPad Pro.' It is more angular and flatter than its predecessor. The 'MacBook Pro' branding at the bottom of the front display will be removed, and the bezel will be smaller.
In addition, the next MacBook Pro is likely to have a MagSafe charging port as well as the HDMI connector and SD card slot. Physical function keys have taken the role of the Touch Bar.
This update's most significant feature is 'Universal Control.' When you position your iPad next to your Mac, the keyboard and mouse transfer to each device effortlessly, with no configuration necessary. Drag-and-drop is used to transfer files between devices (drag-and-drop function). This is beneficial for people who utilize numerous Apple devices concurrently.
The release date of macOS Monterey is likely to be disclosed with the new Mac products.
Additionally, macOS Monterey will improve device communication with a revamped Safari, Airplay to Mac, and a new FaceTime.
Other products that are expected to be released are the Air Pods 3 and the Mac Mini.
