Korean girl group Aespa made it to 'People's list

The only Korean group selected among other Kpop newbies.

On the 15th, SM Entertainment announced that the girl group Espa was named one of the 'Rising Stars to Know in 2021' by the American weekly 'People.'

On the 13th (local time), Aespa was presented as the sole K-pop singer on the official website. "Last year's debut single 'Black Mamba' recorded the history of obtaining 100 million views on YouTube in the shortest period among K-pop groups." "This time, Aespa is striving for worldwide superstardom with the debut mini-album 'Savage,' which transcends genres." explained People.

One of the members, Giselle commented that she was glad that they are not only popular among Korean fans but also in other parts of the world.

The group Aespa, which debuted last year, garnered notice for its distinct vision inspired on 'Avatar.' Last year, 'Next Level,' with its catchy melody and spectacular dancing, was a box office success, and the newly released 'Savage,' also topped the main domestic music charts.

The group also appeared on 'The Kelly Clarkson Show' on the 16th.
