Dwayne Johnson opens up about his 'Fast & Furious' feud with Vin Diesel

Dwayne Johnson lauded the Fast and Furious franchise's ladies but observed that some of his male co-stars were unprofessional in a post on Instagram that seems like an age ago. People quickly realized Johnson was mostly alluding to longtime brand leader Vin Diesel. As a result, there were few encounters between the two of them during the filming of Fate of the Furious, and Johnson finally left the main series for the Hobbs Shaw spin-off series.

In the years afterwards, the two have at the very least tried to bury the hatchet in public. Neither party will fully admit guilt, but according to Dwayne Johnson, the dispute between the two stems primarily from fundamental personality differences. Johnson stated in a recent interview with Vanity Fair that the post that began the whole mess wasn't his best work, but he stood by what he said. He explained how he and Vin Diesel came to an agreement during a meeting in his trailer and where they agreed to leave things in the same interview:

“Well, there was a meeting. I wouldn’t call it a peaceful meeting. I would call it a meeting of clarity. He and I had a good chat in my trailer, and it was out of that chat that it really became just crystal clear that we are two separate ends of the spectrum. And agreed to leave it there.”
