There is finally a contender in the platform-style fighting genre with all of the capabilities necessary to give Nintendo's Super Smash Bros. a healthy run for its money. Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, which was recently released, is a direct competitor.
You get a number of classic Nickelodeon characters to employ in a fight right out of the box, as well as a variety of various stages ripped straight from some of the most popular children's TV shows ever.
While the game's roster was already outstanding when it launched, future DLC will just add to it. At the time of launch, the game featured 20 playable characters from various Nickelodeon properties. The complete list can be found below (so far).
Spongebob Squarepants (Spongebob Squarepants)
Patrick Star (Spongebob Squarepants)
Sandy Cheeks (Spongebob Squarepants)
Michelangelo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
Leonardo (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
April O’Neil (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles)
Zim (Invader Zim)
Nigel Thornberry (The Wild Thornberrys)
Helga (Hey Arnold!)
Danny Phantom (Danny Phantom)
Lincoln Loud (The Loud House)
Lucy Loud (The Loud House)
Oblina (Aahh!! Real Monsters)
Powdered Toast Man (Ren Stimpy)
Ren Stimpy (Ren Stimpy)
Aang (Avatar: The Last Airbender)

For the time being, that's all there is to it; however, there are even more big plans for DLC fighters to arrive in the game shortly, and this list will be updated accordingly.
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl was published on Microsoft Windows, Playstation 4, Playstation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch on October 5th, 2021.
