Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania sets expectations for its script

Stars for Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania are impressed with the new script for the movie

Most Marvel Cinematic Universe movies go through at least a number of writers before going into production, but the scripts for the first two Ant-Man films were handled by far more writers than normal.

Following their departure from the project, Edgar Wright and Joe Cornish retained a story credit for the first installment. With four names mentioned in the credits, star Paul Rudd ended up polishing himself alongside Anchorman and Step Brothers' Adam McKay.

Much though Rudd was the only holdover who worked on both, the sequel ended up being even busier. Chris Mckenna, Erik Sommers, Andrew Barrer, and Gabriel Ferrari were also passed over, but that number has been greatly reduced for Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which is currently in production.

Evangeline Lilly revealed in a new interview with Collider that the script that has been named thus far is set to be the best writing we've seen in an Ant-Man film yet. Rick and Morty veteran Jeff Loveness is the only contributor to the script that has been named thus far, and in a new interview with Collider, Evangeline Lilly revealed that it's set to be the best writing we've seen in an Ant-Man film yet.

Too many cooks can ruin the soup, and Rudd might not be pleased that his co-star is praising the first script he wasn't involved in writing. On the other hand, he'll almost probably have some say in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, which will be released in theaters in February 2023.
