The Crown's fifth season is currently in production, and the show's creators have recreated a historic moment in British monarchy. The next season is currently being shot at Burghley House near Stamford, Lincolnshire, where the creators recreated the famous 1992 fire at Winsor Castle. For the uninitiated, the real fire occurred on November 20, 1992, at Windsor Castle, when a faulty spotlight caught fire next to a curtain near the altar in Queen Victoria's private chapel. The fire burned for 15 hours and completely destroyed 115 rooms, including nine State Rooms. Over 1.5 million gallons of water were used to put out the fire, which required 225 firefighters from seven countries.

The Crown is shooting its fifth season, with Harry Potter actress Imelda Staunton taking on the role of Queen Elizabeth for the final two seasons.
