Enola Holmes 2 is under production!

Time for a new case of excitement!

Enola Holmes 2 production is currently underway and we couldn’t get any excited!

Netflix has announced that Enola Holmes 2 will be released. In a follow-up to the 2020 film, Millie Bobby Brown and Henry Cavill reprise their roles as Enola and Sherlock Holmes. Unfortunately, the complete trailer for Enola Holmes 2 has yet to be released by Netflix, so we'll have to wait. The manufacturing is scheduled to begin in September of this year. However, according to a report by The Knowledge and Hull Live, filming for the sequel will take place in the first week of October outside of a production building on Hull's high street.

On the 5th and 6th of October, Hull's high street will be "turned into Victorian London," according to the source. Locals will have the opportunity to appear in the film as extras, according to the outlet.

"The production firm has also stated that they are looking for extras to play passers-by dressed in Victorian outfits or costumes to feature in the film, and will be putting up recruitment advertisements shortly," the publication continued.

According to Digital Spy, Enola Holmes 2 is more likely to arrive next year, most likely in September 2020.

The first picture, directed by Harry Bradbeer, premiered on Netflix in September 2020, a year after it was scheduled to hit theatres. Unfortunately, the film's rights were sold to Netflix thanks to the epidemic, and the rest is history. Similarly, Jack Thorne is back to adapting the script for the sequel from Nancy Springer's novels. The sequel also lists Thorne as an executive producer.

Producers will include Micahel Dreyer, Ali Mendes, Paige Brown, Alex Garcia, Joshua Grode, and Mary Parent.

With 76 million households viewing in the first 28 days of release, Enola Holmes is now the ninth most-watched English language movie on Netflix. Likewise, the film soared to the top of the box office rankings, spending 20 days in the top ten in the United States, but it also performed well elsewhere.

Throughout early 2021, there were rumblings of a sequel to the first film, with us reporting that many sources said the film would come back.

Brown has previously stated her desire for the film to be remade, saying:

"Let's see how the first one is received. Let's see if they like Enola as much as I do, but there's definitely more to the story."

Meanwhile, Louis Partridge's return as Tewkesbury has been confirmed via Netflix's above promo.

However, the streaming service has published a brief teaser trailer featuring Millie Bobby Brown and Louis Partridge, who will reprise his role as Viscount Tewkesbury. Millie is shown standing on the screen, saying "Hello?" as Louis lights a match and announces,"  'Tis I." In addition, many of the key cast members from the first film have announced that they will be in the sequel. Enola will be played by Millie Bobby Brown again, while Henry Cavill will play Sherlock. Helena Bonham Carter is expected to reprise her role as Enola's mother and mentor, Eudoria Holmes, while Susan Wokoma from Chewing Gum is scheduled to reprise her role as Edith, Enola's jiu-jitsu instructor.

Millie Bobby Brown is credited as a producer on the new film with her sister Paige Brown, under their family's production business PCMA Productions, in addition to appearing in it.
