Starbucks Korea brings back VVIP System

A special benefits for members who accumulated Starbucks stars.

Starbucks Coffee Korea created a de facto VVIP system as soon as it was integrated into the E-Mart subsidiary. Starbucks Korea launched a similar method in 2012 and has been chastised for "classifying customers without providing selection criteria."  There are now three membership tiers available in Starbucks Korea: welcome, green, and gold. When you buy a drink with a Starbucks card, you start at the welcome level, and if you buy more than 5 times a year, you move up to the green level, and if you have more than 30, you move up to the gold level. Internally, gold members who do not reveal openly have chosen those with significant payment amounts as "outstanding members" and provided unique presents such as diaries at the end of the year. It is not stated how members are chosen or how they are chosen.
