Britney Spears Subtly Disses Jamie Lynn Spears' Memoir

Britney Spears suggested she won't be reading Jamie Lynn Spears' upcoming biography Things I Should Have Said.

After Zoey 101 actress Jamie Lynn Spears revealed her impending memoir on Monday, Oct. 11, Britney Spears indirectly shaded her younger sister. "I can't believe I've finished writing my book at long last!!!!" she said. Jamie Lynn uploaded a photo to her Instagram account. This film has been in the works for a long time now, and it's finally coming to fruition.

Jamie Lynn didn't mention her famous sister at all in her post, instead stating that the book would focus on her own mental health issues. Things I Should Have Said will address Jamie Lynn's "position as Britney's baby sister," according to her publisher, Worthy Publishing.

Britney must have heard about this, because on Tuesday, Oct. 12, she teased her own literary endeavors. The singer posted the following to her Instagram account: "Another wonderful piece of information, if I may add it... I want to publish a book next year, but I can't think of a title. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know." Britney had a little fun with it. When faced with the choice between Option #1 and #2, most people choose Option #2 because they care what other people think.

It's safe to say Britney's devoted fans mistook the singer's revelation for a reaction to Jamie Lynn's.

Britney has already vented her resentment on members of her family, such as Jamie Lynn. "Lucky" singer Jamie Lee Curtis didn't "like that my sister turned up at an awards show and played MY SONGS to remixes," apparently referring to the 2017 Radio Disney Music Awards, where Jamie gave a tribute performance.

She went on to say, "My'support system,' as I termed it, severely wounded me... All I have now is hope, and hope is the only thing in the world that is so difficult to destroy...yet people continue trying!!!"

In her essay regarding Jamie's performance, the day before, Britney claimed that she had been deceived by her family and friends during her conservatory experience. Nothing is worse than having your closest friends and family members who never showed up for you post things about your issue and ask for your support in the righteous way, as she pondered on this. No words can express how horrified I was. She went on to say, "People you care about saying anything at all...? When did they even reach out a hand to help raise me up? When I was drowning, did you reach out your hand to save me? How dare you make it public that YOU NOW CARE! Again…NO."

Jamie Lynn had been posting a lot of positive things, and one of them was about "hope."

Following the suspension of her estate conservatorship by Britney's father, the singer is feeling more upbeat than she has in a long time. E! News has learned from a reliable source that "For her, it's both liberating and exhilarating. She hasn't felt this good in a long time, and she's savoring every moment."
