Venom star Tom Hardy wants to have a Venom trilogy

Tom Hardy has hyped up on the potential of a Venom 3 sequel, and has shared his thoughts on doing a franchise

Venom, starring Tom Hardy, was released in 2018 and got mixed reviews from reviewers. To everyone's surprise, the picture went on to gross nearly $800 million worldwide. A sequel was swiftly created, and it was launched earlier this month. Critics reacted positively to the picture, with many bad reviews acknowledging that it is, at the very least, entertaining. Venom: Let There Be Carnage had the biggest weekend opening of any film during the Covid-19 outbreak on its debut weekend. The question now is: what does the franchise's future hold?

Andy Serkis, the director of Venom: Let There Be Carnage, announced on October 7th that a Spider-Man crossover was in the works, though it was unclear when or how it would happen. On the other hand, star Tom Hardy recently discussed the franchise's future potential in terms of a continuous plot. The actor discussed his train of thought with Digital Spy, noting that the first three installments should all be one plot, with subsequent installments being a secondary focus.
